 A glimpse of my Cuties.

This past week has been quite delightful, I say delightful because it's mainly thanks to Avery. Here lately (past 9 days) she has decided to suprise me with a new word or phrase. Just out of the blue and at random. She makes me so proud! This week she showed us that she knows the following words:
Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, Please(with sign), More(with sign), Cup, "I love You", "Just Kidding",
"Mine"(ugh), "No Way",  "Good night" and todays shocker of "You move out of MY way"

Needless to say I have had my work cut out for me with her becoming so vocal and wanting to let me know every 2 seconds that she can say and use words just like her mommy.

We've also come up with a new silly game when Evan comes home from work. Avery likes to run up behind him and make "Clip clop" noises like a horse running and saying "GO!" as  she climbs aboard her own "Daddy Pony" who then chases me which makes her HYSTERICAL with laughter. I then in turn jump out of corners and dark rooms screaming "BOO!" or "I'm going to get you" and proceed to chase her and Evan around the house while she laughs like crazy. In the end mommy & daddy are exhausted on the floor or couch and she is bouncing on one of us to start the game all over. haha

She cracks me up.

We went on a few outings through our Playgroup this week. We checked out a petting Zoo in Irving that is only open June & July and is FREE. I really liked it but Avery wasn't in a mood to be friendly with the other girls in the group let alone listen to me so we missed much of it, plus we arrived 20 minutes late thanks to me. OY! The other moms were very sweet though and all in all it was a good time. This week we're trying a new play center, snow cones and maybe a splash park.

I'm almost finished with the First HP book, I know, I know. I am WAY behind but I own all the movies so far and I do love them but as a sweet friend told me, the books are better and have more to them that the movies skimp on. I start book 2 this week (hopefully).

I must confess here that I am lacking on something I swore I would start up again. Running. I have been getting up around 6:30am the past few days with the intention on putting on my shoes and going for a run. I'm NOT a runner at all but, I want to be. I read so many awesome blogs about it and have so many friends who do marathons and run daily for FUN and I want to do it too. I even signed up for a e-mail training program that helps teach you how to pace yourself and in 8 weeks go from barely running at all to a mile+ a day. Only problem is, Motivation! I get up, I even get dressed some mornings but then I either go back to sleep on the couch or start cleaning something.

I brought my sneakers with me to Denton, I may wake up in 5 hours and go for a walk/jog around the square. Here's hoping.....

Changing The Format To Fit Your Screen....

I literally just wrote an entry but after reading it and spending 30 minutes on it in which I felt I achieved some sort of relief and inner understanding on the subject matter, deleted it.

I have not been using this Blog the way I had intended, and for that I apologize. I apologize for the amount of your time I have wasted by allowing you to read so many depressing, negative and whiny entries on things I should have eithier dealt with by putting on my big girl panies or just not voicing them  at all on a public blog site.

This blog is NOT for complaining.

This blog is NOT  about everything my child does that impresses her father & I.

This blog is NOT an excuse to nag, whine, or victimize myself when life gets gritty.

This blog is NOT a secondary diary.

After reading some of the earlier posts I fear I may be misleading people.

I seem to forget my faith when I go into a "Venting rampage" as some would call it. This bothers me the most because it is something I strive for as a mother, a wife and a Christian. I assure you I handle things a whole lot differently in real life then I may make them seem on this blog. To those of you who personally know me, I know you know this to be fact. However, my worry is that those who don't know me personally or who may stumble upon this site....may be missing out on the real me.

I suppose that's the risk one takes when doing things on the internet, eh?

Just wanted to post this entry with a firm assurance that I am going to start thinking about what I share and post and hope you guys and gals will help reel me in if it starts going down a negative, whiny path again.

Over & Out-

L-O-V-E is all you need.

Things are finally starting to slow down at the Hartfield house. The 4th was WONDERFUL and was spent with family at Lake Grapevine for Fireworks. Beforehand, we grilled out on our patio and ate outside and enjoyed strawberry pie, mmmm...mmmmm...mmmmm!

Since I'm a SAHM this summer I have been looking for things to do with Avery as well as ways to meet other parents of kids her age. Driving to Denton is just not an option and we seriously have no friends in FW anymore. We have some but none with small children and we never do much with said friends because of this which saddens me. SO....I did some searching.

I came across
It's a free website of local groups in your community that you can join and meetup with for free or a small fee. Avery and I joined a Playgroup around our neighborhood and I pay 10$/year for this awesome club. So far we have done 3 playdates from the calendar and have met several new friends and mommies. I LOVE IT! I get to RSVP for the events I want to do and the calendar is FULL of local, FREE events to attend, some cost some money like for the splash parks and what not but still. I wouldn't have known about half of the things that are only minutes from our house!! It's definetly becoming a life saver for us this summer.

Just had to share it with you guys because it's a great site and it's nationwide.

Anywho. I have to Brag on Avery for a bit.... Yesterday while having a kind of down day Avery ran into the bedroom where I was as usual, folding laundry. She ran in screaming "GO GO GO GO!" I started laughing and asked her "Where do you think you're going?" to which she grabbed my leg and hugged me and said in the cutest way possible "to hug my mama!". Yeah, my heart melted. I scooped her up and hugged her and swung her around and Thanked her for knowing just what I needed to which she shrugged and said "I try".

Yeah, she's so my kid.

Sometimes, it's nice to know you're needed and Loved. She knew even in another room that I needed some and came running in to remind me that I am indeed Loved and needed.

Could God have matched her anymore perfectly for us or what?!

Anyway, that was my mom moment for this entry. She's just so amazing and now with her vocabulary expanding and her understanding of things getting sharper it's just a daily dose of aweness and "No way did she just do/say that!" moments. I'm loving it.

I wish everyone could experience this at some point in their life. This innocent, pure, genuinue Love of a child. It's the greatest Joy.
